Voice menu support should be added to Kaylee. Essentially, this would give support for context-sensitive commands. A user could say a command, such as “cancel a timer”, then get a response from Kaylee asking which timer to cancel (perhaps giving a list). The user would then respond with an identifier of a timer, and the chosen timer would be canceled. This will require, of course, a more general configuration format for commands than we have now.
It really seems like this should be done by changing the language in the pocketsphinx GStreamer plugin. That could separate sets of words used in different menus, cutting down on misunderstandings.
Re-assigned this to version 0.3. I feel that this issue and #12 are closely related, but that each requires enough design and implementation to warrant a minor release at this stage of development. Voice menus seem less useful on their own than non-shell actions, so I’m delaying this until 0.3 to put non-shell actions in 0.2.
